WhatsApp Productivity Platform Comes To Edge Browser

One of the hot names in productivity apps and platforms is WhatsApp, a messaging feature that is streamlining business operation, especially for project teams and telecommuting personnel. The mobile app WhatsApp syncs automatically with the users’ desktops through the WhatsApp Web platform, which originally launched only for Google Chrome.

The choice of Google Chrome was logical because it stands firm as the world’s most used web browser, but Firefox and Opera followed after the launch. Internet Explorer was never in the company’s plans, possibly because Microsoft had already announced plans for an upcoming Windows 10 and a new browser, or because business and tech-minded teams simply weren’t using it in high enough numbers to justify the effort of coding it.

Now that Windows 10 has launched, though, WhatsApp Web has followed through with its plans for a Microsoft Edge-based compatibility. Navigate to the Emulation Tab and while there, change the User Agent String that is listed as Edge to Chrome, Firefox or Opera.”
